The Sigma fp L Mirrorless has a few noteworthy improvements over its predecessor. Need to spend more time with the pictures - will share in a bit. I found I didn't need focus peaking which I had used almost all the time on the SL and original fp - left it off most of the day.

Zoom function for focus provides clear confirmation along with some awareness that you are seeing pixels (I use full screen rather than PIP). The resolution is good and the view unmagnified is excellent - bright and natural. My first impressions with the EVF are quite positive. The reason for its body cut is to allow access to the microphone port. It does not feel as heavy as the hot shoe attachment, though I haven't compared the two. In its lightness it doesn't match the weight and secure feel of the fp body, which helps maintain balance. It did seem to be fine though occasionally it unclicks and the EVF tilts upwards - not a bad thing, just a new EVF does add volume, but it is light. I found myself looking down to see how the EVF was handling the bouncing around. The fp with EVF attached has yet to prove itself in terms of durability. That said, I don't find the SL+ a lens of modest weight to be an unpleasant carry with a good strap.
